Characters

This is the list of characters that have appeared in the Guardians of Indir D&D 5e campaign.

 

Aarakocra (species) – sentient avian bipedal humanoids with beaks, hollow bones, and large wings that allow them to fly. Not native to Daboboah.

Atako (PC, human played by Korben) – a 12-year-old human Arbistrant, defender of the past, bears a medallion in the shape of a hammer, first appeared in episode 10

Balasar (PC, Indiran played by Korben) – male dragonborn soldier of Indiran Guard, veteran of the Dragon War. First appeared in episode 1.

Dispira (NPC, Daboboan) – female half-elven tiefling who has had a hard life, having to make a living in the underbelly any which way she can. Trainer to Vhisuna. First mentioned in episode 2, first appearance in episode 33.

Doctor Strix Alba Hoot (NPC, Valtaryn) – aarakocra lieutenant to Lorenal, often Dr. Hoot directs field operations for the elves. First mentioned in episode 1.

Dragonborn (species) – sentient reptilian bipedal humanoids with some distant kinship to dragons. Varying colors of scales; some have tails. A native species of Daboboah.

Geranda (PC, human played by Blake) – human defender of the past, first appeared in episode 10. Bears a medallion in the shape of a shield. Ancient female Infractor who calls upon power to drain life from others and can then grant it to others.

Guardians of Indir (PCs, Indiran) – the party of PCs in the present day: Balasar, Kantu, Klide, Squeak, and Vhisuna. First appeared in episode 1.

Kantu Coalwing (PC, Indiran played by Lucia) – male aarakocra bounty hunter, native of the wild around Indir. First appeared in episode 1. Hired to find a changeling inside Indir.

Karen Balthorek (NPC, Indiran) – female dragonborn member of the Indiran Council and patron to the Guardians of Indir. First appeared in episode 1. Trying at first to help the city recover from Steeev Ganalon’s depredations. Later helping organize the defense of Indir from the Valtaryn invasion.

Kemps Ridley (NPC, kobold) – outlandishly-dressed sailor cousin of Klyde. Talks like a pirate. First appeared in episode 33.

Klyde Bartholomew Jethro Razzledazzle (PC, Indiran played by Kaleb) – male kobold grifter, friend of Vhisuna. Handy with a miniature longbow. First appeared in episode 1.

Legarand (PC, human played by Kaleb) – human Jagermus defender of the past, first appeared in episode 10. Bears a medallion in the shape of a dagger. Human man with uncanny telekinesis powers, which are used to manipulate the bodies of others.

Lorenal (NPC, elf, Valtaryn) – charismatic leader of the elvish city-state of Valtaryn.

Lunch (NPC, rodent) – Kantu’s pet mouse, that he keeps as a continual test of both kindness and willpower: can he love and care for this small creature, keep it alive, and NOT eat it?

Maval Bersk (NPC, artificial) – an artificial human construct that Balasar found in pieces in a box labeled “BERSK” in a cave when Balasar was little more than a hatchling. Balasar reassembled Maval and the Indiran Council assigned sages to study this ancient human artifact. Balasar continued to visit Maval over the years. Maval seems to have originally been manufactured thousands of years ago to bake muffins. First mentioned in episode 2, detailed in episode 31.

Rakhari (PC, human, played by Lucia) – human defender of the past, first appeared in episode 10. Bears a medallion in the shape of a key. Female Kazirim who controls the minds of others.

Ruthik (NPC, aarakocra) – the suspiciously ancient (he’s 25 in a race that usually lives only half that long) male aarakocra ranger. Kantu’s trainer. Goes where he wants, eats who he wants. Spends most of his time nowadays drifting on thermals high above the action. Introduced in episode 2, first appeared in episode 32.

Shoxon (PC, human played by Aria) – human Executreme, defender of the past, first appeared in episode 10. Gender neutral. Master of multiple drone devices that serve various uses: defense, attack, creating barriers. Bears a medallion in the shape of a cut, glowing crystal. Wears a large lightning cannon on one arm.

Sqt Rp Do (NPC, artificial) – an artificial human construct that first appeared in episode 27, Sqt Rp Do looks exactly like a human, but since no one alive has ever seen a human, everybody has a hard time making sense of its appearance. Sort of a brown-looking elf? A really tall halfling? Speaks through a pipe-organ-like apparatus of wind forced through pipes.

Squeak McSqueakerson (PC, Indiran played by Blake) 150-year-old changeling minstrel and soldier of Indir, friend to Balasar and veteran of the Dragon War. Has taken to imitating Kantu in order to practice flight. Apprenticed to Torinn. First appeared in episode 1.

Steeev Ganalon (NPC, Indiran) – a corrupt dragonborn member of the Indiran Council. First appeared in episode 1. Steeev squandered most of Indir’s money on building a 16′-tall wall of mixed masonry and wooden palisades around the city. The Guardians of Indir uncovered his embezzlement of public funds and so gained the gratitude of the general citizenry and other council members, including Karen Balthorek.

Timbertina (NPC, Indiran) – a gruff male dragonborn veteran, captain of the Indiran Guard. First appeared in episode 27. Simple, straightforward, takes no nonsense. Balasar’s bridge partner.

Torinn (NPC, Daboboan male) – a celebrated dragonborn poet and musician who has traveled the length and breadth of Daboboah, Torinn has taken Squeak under his tutelage and has stayed in the war-torn city of Indir to teach his protege despite the danger. First mentioned in episode 2, first appearance in episode 33.

Varaseth (NPC, Daboboan) – Laconic ranger trainer for Klyde. First mentioned in episode 2, detailed in episode 31.

Vhisuna (PC, Indiran played by Aria) – female hobgoblin hero, friend of Klyde. Often the voice of reason in a mad world. First appeared in episode 1.
